š Rating everything I ate at Emilio's Ballato š®š¹
One of the most hyped Italian restaurants in the city is Emilio's Ballato. This restaurant doesn't take reservations, so you must brave the line to be one of the lucky individuals who gets to try their food. We waited for about 45 minutes before we were seated. Also, a fun fact, this is one of the Jonas Brother's favorite restaurants to dine at! š Emilio's Ballato Once we finally made it in, the ambiance of the restaurant is very old and authentic. The walls were lined with photos of major celebrities that have eaten at the restaurant over the years. Below are the rankings of the food that I tried while at the restaurant: The pizza bread 20/10. This was so delicious and it was FREE!! Great way to start off a meal as you wait for your entrees. I couldn't go to an Italian restaurant and not order an Aperol spritz. This was a fantastic Aperol spritz; it honestly felt like I was back in Italy 10/10. As a starter, we got the caprese which was so fresh and delicious 10/10. For my entree, I got the ravioli con ricotta. This was very solid but it wasn't the best ravioli I've ever had in my life. I still rank it a solid 9/10. The rack of lambs were very well seasoned and melted off the bone 10/10. The dish they are most famous for is the Vitello parmigiana. Not going to lie... I am not a fan of veal, but if you enjoy that kind of meat, I'm sure this would be delicious! With that being said, I have to give it a 7/10 since it kinda gave me an ick thinking about what I was eating. Overall, my experience at Emilio's Ballato was great, and I think it's definitely a good Italian choice to cross off your NYC restaurant list! #nycfoodreview #nycguide #emilioballatos #nycitalianrestaurants #nycitalianfood
