Ravello 🫒 A Secret Garden in Southern Italy 🌳

“A place closer to the sky than to the sea.” The most delightful hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast. Ravello, Italy - There are two must-visit spots in the town: 🪴 Villa Rufolo - 7💶 Get off at the bus stop and walk through a tunnel to find the entrance. 🪴 Villa Cimbrone - 10💶 It’s a 15-minute uphill walk (remember to wear comfortable shoes). The former has inspired many musicians and writers and is the summer performance venue for symphony orchestras. The latter was a filming location for the movie “Tenet” and is a top choice for Southern Italian weddings. You’ll receive a guide map at the ticket office. Follow the route to explore. It takes about an hour to leisurely stroll and take photos in each villa. If you get tired, you can relax in the garden at Villa Cimbrone, enjoy some tea or coffee, and have a snack (the olives are particularly delicious). 📍 Transportation Our route was a Day Trip: From Praiano to Amalfi, then on to Ravello. 🚘 A taxi from Praiano would cost at least 130 euros. From Amalfi to Ravello, it’s around 70-80 euros. (Taxis in Southern Italy are really expensive!) Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Amalfi’s harbor station: A regular bus for 1.5💶 or a minibus for 10💶 (check the schedule in advance). 🚗 If you rent a car, be prepared for the winding mountain roads—it’s quite a challenge.
