Recommend a restaurant where you can eat meat with your friends
Phoenix Filipino Food Gem: Tambayan – Meat-Lover’s Paradise for Chinese Palates 🐷 After trying lots of Southeast Asian cuisine, I found Filipino food fits Chinese tastes perfectly! Most dishes are savory, pork-heavy, and somewhat similar to Northern Chinese fare. It may not sound the healthiest, but indulging with friends every now and then is totally satisfying. 🍴 Must-Try Dishes Family Platter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-order for groups! The portion is massive (you can tell from the photo) and includes all the restaurant’s signature dishes. We had four people and still couldn’t finish it. My favorite: The pan-fried fish—cooked to perfection, non-fishy, and tender. Paired with the complimentary dipping sauce, it’s delicious. Friends’ picks: The BBQ and chicken skewers—super flavorful and well-marinated. Group favorite: Lumpia (Filipino spring rolls). Crispy, non-greasy wrappers with rich fillings—everyone loved them. Lechon Kawali 🐷 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crispy pork belly—a staple across many cuisines, but Filipino-style stands out for being deep-fried, making the skin extra crunchy. The sweet-savory dipping sauce (not pictured) balances the richness perfectly. Sisig ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No photo of Tambayan’s version (the one here is from another top-rated Filipino spot, At My Place—they look similar!). A must for pork lovers: chopped pork belly stir-fried on a hot plate with onions and chili, crispy and juicy with a savory taste. Squeeze fresh lemon juice to cut through the grease—ideal for pairing with rice. 📌 Key Notes Perfect for meat-loving groups: Sharing all these hearty dishes makes the meal fun and satisfying. For more authentic flavors: If you prioritize traditional tastes, check out At My Place in Chandler—a small spot run by a Filipino auntie. My Filipino friend says it’s more authentic, and we loved their take on similar dishes. 📍 Tambayan Filipino Food🗺️ 1534 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85015 #FoodDiary #UnforgettableEats #ArizonaStateUniversity #ArizonaFood #PhoenixFood #FilipinoFood #MeatLovers #ChinesePalateFriendly
