Restaurant Review - Ramen Ishida ๐ŸŒŸ

Visited at around 2 PM on a Saturday afternoon. ๐ŸŽข๐Ÿƒ Ambiance & Service: The restaurant is incredibly small. As soon as you walk in, it feels quite cramped. Thereโ€™s only one table where you can sit face-to-face, and the rest of the seating is just rows of chairs. The owner has added a tent outside with another table that can seat four people. We ended up sitting in the Doraemon spot! The owner also provided a space heater, which was a nice touch. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŽข๐Ÿƒ The kitchen is semi-open, with just one counter guy and one ramen chef. Iโ€™m guessing the chef is probably the owner. ๐Ÿค” Ordered: Two bowls of ramen and one pork bun. There were no options for noodle firmness. Spicy Mushroom: Made with a rich broth, noodles, minced pork, two bok choy leaves, and spicy oil. The noodles were on the firmer side. The broth was very thick and had some impurities, so I didnโ€™t try it separately. The flavor was pretty forgettable, and I wouldnโ€™t consider ordering it again. ๐Ÿœ ๐ŸŽข๐Ÿƒ New Tokyo Style Shoyu: Two slices of pork, half a soft-boiled egg, some chopped green onions, and a few bamboo shoots. Itโ€™s a more traditional Japanese soy sauce style. The broth was slightly salty, and overall, it was just okayโ€”nothing particularly memorable. ๐Ÿœ Pork Bun: The bun was soft, and the pork belly was quite fatty but not greasy. It came with two slices of cucumber and a bit of sauce. The overall taste was slightly salty and sweet. ๐Ÿฅข #NewYorkEats #RamenReview ๐ŸŒ†๐ŸŒŸ
