Rotterdam, Netherlands | Eating Herring at Markthal Market 🐟

Markthal Market is located in the heart of Rotterdam, at Laurens Plaza. It's flanked by rivers and railways, with a church ⛪️ nearby. After tidying up my things, I walked along the city roads and couldn't help but feel excited as I approached the market. I've seen many projects by MVRDV, and to think that one day I'd be able to step inside, and this bustling market is just a common place for locals in Rotterdam. It was surprisingly clean inside, with many shops and quite a few really nice, distinctive stores haha😂 and they were quite frequent too. You can buy herring sandwiches here. I tried one, and it was actually quite tasty, not fishy at all, with a fishy flavor and no strange smell. Walking out of the market, the sound of bells rang from the next door, and there was the church. At that moment, there was a sudden illusion of tradition and modernity intertwining.
