Sakana|$30 Sushi AYCE Trap: My Taste Buds Are Suffering 😖
Went to the viral sushi AYCE spot Sakana Sushi in Vegas on a whim — After leaving, all I could say was: “Buffets really aren’t for me!” Reviews for Sakana Sushi are wildly polarized — some call it the “king of value,” others say it’s “industrial-grade feed.” After trying it myself… I’m with the latter! Yes, you can eat “unlimited” for $30+, but every bite screams “you’re eating cost control”: 🍣 Salmon — bland, low fat 🍤 Sweet shrimp — mushy, not tasty 🍣 Sushi rice — edible, but forget “delicious” Fish freshness is average, rice is loose, vinegar flavor faint. Not bad, but nowhere near good. Doesn’t compare to same-price Japanese spots back home. Variety is sadly limited. 🔥 Skewers are a disaster Default is non-spicy, just brushed with sweet sauce. Even pork belly was dry and tough — chewing felt like rubber. Impressive kitchen skills, in a bad way 😬 🥗 Special shout-out to the salad — hell-level experience Dressing tasted like acidic cleaner, veg combo could be submitted to Hell’s Kitchen 👨🍳 🍱 Only bright spot: Unagi Don Rich sauce, decent eel thickness — relatively for AYCE. But that’s pretty much it. Overall, it’s not inedible — soy sauce and wasabi can cover a lot. But if you’re after flavor or quality, this place has nothing to do with those words. Suggestions: ✅ Good for students who haven’t eaten in 3 days / those who just want to be stuffed ✅ If you care about ingredients — go somewhere à la carte ✅ Salad — DO NOT TOUCH IT! #VegasSkip #SushiBuffet #FoodFail #SakanaSushi #NotWorthIt #LasVegas #VegasTravel 🍣
