✨Salvador is the capital of Bahia State in northeastern Brazil, the country's third-largest city, and its ancient capital. ❗Before visiting, I heard about safety concerns, but it felt manageable — the Upper City (Cidade Alta) is relatively safe, while the Lower City (Cidade Baixa) is more chaotic. Police presence is noticeable everywhere, which helps. ⚠️ 🍃Many suggest spending two days here, but I found one day sufficient, as the second day often involves revisiting similar spots. The historic Pelourinho district is incredibly photogenic but can be explored in just 2-3 hours. 💎The Lower City’s market is worth a quick visit. Strolling along the coastline, you’ll find a castle reminiscent of Puerto Rico — a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset and unwind. 🥰I highly recommend Salvador for anyone visiting Brazil.
