San Francisco’s Eat-Together Adventure: Liholiho Yacht Club 🏝️

A friend came to visit the Bay Area, so we finally tried a restaurant that’s been sitting in my bookmarks forever: Liholiho Yacht Club ✨. It blends Hawaiian, Californian, and Asian flavors (kind of!) in a laid-back atmosphere. While not mind-blowing, every dish had its own charm 🪐 — and I’d recommend booking ahead! 👅 Poppyseed Steam Bun A soft steamed bun filled with beef tongue, pickles, and cucumber — flavorful and layered. The only letdown was that the beef tongue lacked that freshly grilled, smoky aroma. 🍞 Duck Liver Mousse Saw lots of recommendations, so we ordered two to try. The liver mousse was smooth and rich, paired with blueberry jam, shiso, and banana-bread-like toast. Sweet-salty and unique but not weird — tasty overall, though it could get heavy after a while. 🥩 American Wagyu Zabuton The steak was cooked perfectly — tender and juicy. Topped with crunchy wood ear mushrooms for an Asian-style savory kick. The spinach sauce and potatoes looked gorgeous but tasted a bit plain — the beef definitely carried the dish. 🍖 Grilled Cumin Lamb This one was a favorite! Lamb chops were crispy outside, tender inside, with a light cumin flavor. The lamb sausage wasn’t greasy, and it came with crispy shredded potatoes — aromatic and well-seasoned overall. 🐠 Local Ling Cod The MVP of the night 🏆! Super tender fish over a rich red curry — warm, comforting, and full of Asian-inspired flavor. 🍚 Fried Rice Kimchi fried rice — fragrant, with distinct grains, mushrooms, and house-made spam. Not mind-blowing, but solid as a side. 🍰 Baked Hawaii Toasted marshmallow shell outside, coconut sorbet and orange chiffon cake inside — tangy, sweet, and covered in coconut flakes. We’d just had my favorite ice cream at Garden Creamery that afternoon, so this felt a little less impressive 😅… but still worth trying if you have a sweet tooth! #BayAreaFood #BayAreaLife #BayAreaWeekend #BayAreaFinds #LivingTheGoodLife #FoodShare #FoodDiary #WeekendFoodTrip 🍽️
