San Francisco’s Hidden Gem: I’m Hesitant to Recommend This Sushi Spot!
I’m actually a bit hesitant to share this place because it’s so good that I’m afraid it’ll get too popular and I won’t be able to get a seat! No clickbait here—this is a tiny spot with only three tables. Tiny Sushi-Oh Baby 📍 Daly City Westlake There’s also a location in Redwood City, but this is the newly opened branch in Daly City. I’ve been lucky enough to drop by without a reservation a few times. Just because it’s small doesn’t mean the ingredients aren’t fresh! My first visit left a lasting impression—all the dishes were delicious. Here are some recommendations: 🍣 Double Toro Roll: A double dose of salmon and tuna toro—double the flavor, double the fun! 🍣 Chu Toro: Highly recommended. It’s incredibly fatty, tender, and melts in your mouth. Just looking at the picture makes my mouth water. 🐟 Truffle Hamachi: Yellowtail, avocado, and truffle oil—a perfect combination. This time, I ordered the omakase set for $59, which was an absolute steal. Ten beautifully crafted sushi pieces, each a delight to the eyes and taste buds. The highlight was the uni (sea urchin) piece—I’ve never had anything like it. One thing to note: the wasabi is an extra $5, but it’s worth it for the fresh wasabi instead of paste. Despite its name, Tiny Sushi lives up to its name in size, but the sushi itself is far from tiny. The cozy interior plays light jazz music that perfectly sets the mood. #LocalFavorites #FoodieDiary #SanFranciscoFood #SanFranciscoSushi #HiddenGems
