San Francisco’s Must-Visit Japanese Garden – Autumn Colors Arrived! 🍁
Visited a couple of weeks ago as leaves were just starting to turn red — and now it must be fully draped in autumn glory! 🎟️ Early Birds Enter Free! The Japanese Tea Garden offers free entry on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays before 9 AM. Perfect for a peaceful morning stroll! 🌸 Highlights Not to Miss: 🏯 Five-Story Pagoda & Moon Bridge The bright red pagoda stands beautifully against lush bamboo — a truly iconic scene. The arched Moon Bridge reflects perfectly in the water, creating that classic Japanese garden photo you’ve been dreaming of. 📸 🍵 Serene Tea House Experience Don’t skip the Tea House in the center of the garden. Order a matcha set with traditional wagashi (sweet rice treats). The matcha is prepared with care — slightly bitter, aromatic, and deeply calming. Paired with sweet mochi or senbei, it feels like a quiet moment in Kyoto. 🍡 Snack tip: Skip the fried chicken 🍗, but the dango and herbal mochi are lovely! 📍 Japanese Tea Garden 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr, SF, CA 94118 🕒 Hours: Mar–Oct: 9 AM – 5:45 PM Nov–Feb: 9 AM – 4:45 PM 💵 Admission: $15 adults | Free Mon/Wed/Fri before 9 AM #JapaneseTeaGardenSF #AutumnInSF #JapaneseGarden #FreeEntrySF #SFPhotography #MatchaMoment #BayAreaWeekend #FallColors #SanFranciscoGardens
