San Francisco|Okane – Hidden Gem Japanese Spot with Amazing Uni

📍 669 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94103 During the holidays, I went with friends and my mom 👩👭. Last time we tried walking in but couldn’t get a seat, so this time we made a reservation 📅. Luckily, not too many people stayed in SF over Christmas, so there were still some open tables 🪑✨. The holiday special set was great — though the sashimi portion went from 10 pieces to 9 🍣. ❗️❗️ Like, save, follow if you enjoyed this! ❗️❗️ Toro Hand Roll Paired with smoked pickled daikon — the combination of rich fat and crisp texture was stunning 🤯💫 Hokkaido Uni $28 each but totally worth it 🧈 Hokkaido uni is sweeter than local varieties — melts in your mouth like ice cream 🍦 Sweet Shrimp Mom said it reminded her of “three-shrimp noodles” 🍜 The shrimp head was fried super crispy with roe inside — absolutely worth trying! Sashimi (9 pieces) Wasabi placed beneath the fish — a sign of authentic preparation 😋 Cod, Karaage, Snow Crab Tofu The grilled cod and fried chicken were both tender — Japanese classics ✅ The snow crab tofu was magical 🦀🧈: not soupy like crab roe tofu, but firm, homemade-style tofu wrapped with delicate crab strands. Tempura So good!
