San Francisco | Must-Try Seafood Restaurant at Pier 39 🦀🦞🦪
The restaurant is called Fog Harbor Fish House, located on the second floor, accessible via the wooden staircase to the right just inside the main entrance of Pier 39 (see the last photo for the full menu). It tends to get crowded, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you’d like a window seat with a harbor view. ▫️ Clam Chowder Bread Bowl 🦪🥣 I highly recommend this soup! I’ve tried clam chowder at various places in San Francisco, and not all versions are great—some are actually quite disappointing 😂. But this one is truly exceptional! It’s packed with ingredients and has a rich, creamy flavor that perfectly complements the seafood. When paired with the sourdough bread bowl, it’s absolutely irresistible—you’ll find yourself savoring every last bite! ▫️ Crispy Calamari 🦑 Another must-try appetizer is the crispy calamari. It’s perfectly fried to a crisp, with a fragrant aroma. Squeeze some lemon over it and dip it in the accompanying lemon aioli. The hidden fried onions and jalapeños add an extra layer of flavor and texture, making it an incredible combination! ▫️ Whole Dungeness Crab 🦀 I had high expectations for this dish, but unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. The crab was extremely salty, with little other flavor, and the meat was scarce. ▫️ Seafood Penne 🍝 This pasta dish was a delightful surprise! It’s loaded with a variety of seafood, including fish, shrimp, scallops, clams, and mussels, all of which are fresh and perfectly cooked with a nice, chewy texture. The sauce is a rich tomato cream base, generously topped with Parmesan cheese. #SanFranciscoFood #Pier39Cuisine #SanFranciscoEats
