San Francisco Citywalk No.1: A Guide to the Cable Cars ๐Ÿ””

๐ŸŒ‰The Most Comprehensive Guide to San Francisco's Cable Cars ๐Ÿ”” ๐ŸšƒCable Cars: As shown in Picture 3, there are three cable - car lines in total. They are the red line (Powell - Mason), the blue line (Powell - Hyde), and the green line (California - Van Ness). About the routes: The ticket - buying/sightseeing starting points for the ๐Ÿ”ด red line and the ๐Ÿ”ต blue line are both at the main terminal at the intersection of Powell St. and Market St. (Cable Car Turnaround Powell St.). These two lines basically cover popular attractions in San Francisco, such as Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Lombard Street, and so on. The east - west ๐ŸŸข green line starts at the intersection of California St. and Drumm St. on the east side of San Francisco. It passes through Chinatown, and I highly recommend it for photographers ๐Ÿ“ธ. You can capture the Oakland Bridge as in Picture 1. If you have a telephoto lens, you can create a sense of spatial compression in your photos. ๐ŸŽซTicket Purchase: You can buy tickets from the conductor on the cable car in person. Or, it's even better to download the San Francisco transportation app, SFMTA (Picture 4). Inside the app, I recommend buying the third option, the 13 - dollar ๐Ÿ”ช one - day cable - car pass (Picture 5), which offers the best value for money. You can pay by linking your VISA card. After payment, you'll get a dynamic QR code that you need to show to the ticket inspector when boarding. ๐Ÿ“ธPhotography: Except for Pictures 12 and 13, which were taken with a wide - angle lens on the cable car, Pictures 1 - 2 and 7 - 11 were taken with a telephoto lens at the intersection of the ๐Ÿ”ด red, ๐Ÿ”ต blue, and ๐ŸŸข green lines (the intersection of California St. and Powell St.). Interestingly, this intersection is almost at the highest elevation in downtown San Francisco, so the views in all four directions are fantastic. ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ“ธ: The blogger's equipment is a Fuji TX - 5 camera with the original 16 - 55mm and 70 - 300mm lenses. I'll share more photography spots in San Francisco, as well as travel guides on food, accommodation, transportation, and more in the future. #citywalk #SanFrancisco #USTravel
