😧 San Francisco Fine Dining – Via Aurelia
I just don’t get it — and honestly, I’m over it. My track record with New American Fine Dining has been one long series of disappointments, and Via Aurelia was no exception. Every dish looked meticulously crafted and wholesome, but… I just didn’t want another bite. The best of the bunch were the venison pasta and the pork dish — though I was so focused on eating (and surviving the meal) that I forgot to take photos 📸💦. I think it’s time to accept the truth: my taste buds and modern Euro-American fine dining are fundamentally mismatched. What’s celebrated as nuanced and artistic often lands on my palate as overworked, undersalted, or just… not satisfying in that deeply comforting way I crave. Maybe it’s me — maybe it’s them. Either way, I’m stepping back from this corner of the dining scene for a while. 📍 Via Aurelia | SF Fine Dining 🍴 Cuisine: New American / Italian-inspired 💡 For: adventurous palates, special occasions, artistic plating lovers #ViaAureliaSF #FineDining #NewAmericanCuisine #NotForMe #TasteBudMismatch #SFDining #FoodieConfessions #OverIt #BackToComfortFood #SFMeh #MichelinVibes #TriedAndFailed 🍝🚫
