๐ San Francisco Hike / A Sandy Stairway to the Beach
๐ Itโs so hot today ๐ซ โ perfect day for some ocean breeze! We chose Baker Beach, which offers several scenic hiking trails down to the shore. You get exercise and gorgeous views all in one! Fun fact: Eileen Guโs family lives in the upscale neighborhood right above this beach. ๐ We took the Sand Ladder โ a long, straight staircase made of wood and sand, surrounded by beautiful purple lupine flowers. The descent was easy, and we reached the beach in no time ๐๏ธ! Lots of people were sunbathing ๐, walking dogs, running, fishing ๐ฃโฆ And if you spot naked sunbathers, donโt be surprised ๐ โ this is a well-known clothing-optional beach! Youโre more likely to see some skin on hot days, but it was pretty crowded today, so no luck this time ๐. ๐ Nearby, the Batteries to Bluffs Trail leads all the way to the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. The coastal views are stunning, and during low tide, you can spot lots of marine life! Iโve shared about this trail before. Today, there was a group up at the battery near the bridge with super long lenses โ really curious what they were filming! ๐ ฟ๏ธ Street parking is available where signs allow. Baker Beach also has a parking lot and restrooms ๐ป. ๐ Location: Search โSand Ladder, San Francisco, CA 94129โ or simply โBaker Beachโ on Google Maps. #ThatBeachIAlwaysWantedToVisit #HikingAdventures
