San Francisco Japanese Brunch | Stonemill Matcha
🍞A must-visit spot for matcha lovers! 🍵 We visited on a Saturday at noon and were fortunate to avoid the wait. However, seating is only available once the entire party arrives, and there’s a one-hour dining limit. Fortunately, the food arrives quickly, so the time constraint isn’t an issue. 🅿️ There are street parking spots on both sides of the nearby streets, available on weekends. We found a spot after circling the area once. Main Course Recommendations: 🐷Chicken Okayu This porridge is infused with shiitake mushrooms and an onsen egg, adding a rich, savory flavor. The texture is incredibly smooth. 🍎Matchazuke You pour the matcha broth yourself. The light matcha aroma complements the fresh salmon. While it’s not as stunning as I imagined, it’s still a well-executed tea-poached rice dish. 💕Chicken Katsu Curry The curry is rich and has a sweet-savory flavor profile. The portion is quite generous. 🐮Coffee & Desserts: Black Sesame Latte Rose Matcha Latte Chestnut Matcha Roll Cake The chestnut matcha roll cake was a delightful surprise. The cream is refreshing and not cloying, with a dense, aromatic chestnut flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. It’s truly delicious. 💕Both the main courses and desserts offer a unique Japanese flair. Be sure to add this place to your next brunch list! #DailyLife #Brunch #SanFranciscoFood #CafeFood #CafeHopping #Matcha #BayAreaEats
