San Francisco Spot Worth Revisiting – Drunken Monk 🍶

Tired of endless DoorDash during work trips, I decided to venture out for a real meal 🍱. This Japanese spot is pretty well-known online, and I originally came for the yakitori—wanted to scout it out for my family first. But not only was the yakitori delicious 😋, the sushi turned out to be the real surprise! 🍣 The Japanese staff proudly introduced the menu, beaming when talking about the sushi. They mentioned the chef used to work at a Michelin 3-star restaurant ⭐, so I happily took their advice and ordered it. And wow—it did not disappoint! The fish was expertly selected, with a texture that was both crisp-bouncy and subtly creamy. The secret soy sauce and wasabi were already brushed on, and that first bite truly brought happiness ❤️. Next time, I’m going all-in on sushi! As for the yakitori, nothing was a miss—though the salt-grilled ones were a bit light on seasoning. A little extra salt did the trick ✨. The standout was definitely the chicken meatballs: perfectly savory-sweet, and dipped in rich egg yolk, they were an absolute delight 🍡! #BayAreaJapaneseFood #HiddenGem #YakitoriLovers #MichelinExperience #SushiTime #SFFoodFinds
