San Jose|🇺🇸Ultimate 2-Day 1-Night Silicon Valley Guide
Procrastinator Xie is back with the second stop on the road trip down Highway 1—San Jose! Attractions: 1️⃣ When it comes to Silicon Valley, you can’t miss Apple, Google, Stanford, etc. First stop: my boyfriend’s former employer, Apple HQ. We went crazy buying merch, and I was amazed by the AR feature that clearly shows the entire campus's solar, wind, and architectural layout. You can park right in front of the Apple Store. 📍Navigate directly to 2️⃣ Stanford University:'s school! Climb the Hoover Tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the campus. The entire campus is open and spacious. Start at the visitor center to grab a map ➡️ The Cantor Arts Center (closed Mon & Tue, don’t miss out!) ➡️ The Oval (snap a full campus view from the main gate) ➡️ Memorial Court (surrounded by Rodin sculptures and iconic arched corridors) ➡️ Hoover Tower (highly recommend going up—it was Stanford’s library in the 19th century, and now the tower features bells and stunning views). 3️⃣ Pink Salt Lake Alviso Marina: Navigate directly to 📍1195 Hope St, San Jose. No entrance fee for day trips, but honestly, it’s a bit overhyped. When I went, the sunset was just okay, and it’s basically just a large salt lake (consider skipping if short on time). 4️⃣ Bytedance: My former employer! Since the North American HQ isn’t open to the public, I just snapped a pic and left. 😄 Hotel: Stayed at Signia by Hilton in San Jose—will share a full hotel review later. First, let me complain about valet-only parking and those parking fees in the US. 🙄 Food: Friends!! You have to try the pho in Vietnam Town and the drinks at Lacāphé! Sooo good—trust me, no regrets! Tips:For navigation 🧭, remember to use Google Maps or Apple Maps in the US. You’ll even get cute 3D road views like in 🚗💨 #Highway1 #USTravel #WestCoastTravel #SanJose #SiliconValley #Stanford #Apple #Google #TravelGuide #Food
