Santa Fe, NM Eats|(New) Mexican Cuisine 🌶️🌮
La Choza Restaurant – Located close to the plaza, this place is always packed! 🏃♀️💨 During peak hours, expect waits of 40+ minutes. Try visiting off-hours or call ahead to see if reservations are accepted (I haven’t tried that myself). Parking is tough—the lot is usually full, so you might need to circle nearby blocks for street parking. Better yet, take a taxi and avoid the hassle! 🚖😅 But the hype is real—the food is absolutely delicious! 😋✨ This time I ordered the enchiladas. Unlike typical stuffed versions, theirs are stacked: blue corn tortillas layered with cheese, beans, hominy (dried and peeled corn kernels, similar to grits), and veggies, all smothered in green chili, red chili, or both (called "Christmas" style 🎄). Also tried the soft blue corn tacos with a similar setup. The chili is so flavorful—it makes everything taste amazing! And don’t miss the sopapillas! 🍯🔥 Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside—like the fried bread from childhood street snacks. You can dip them in chili or drizzle with honey—perfect for both savory and sweet cravings. I loved it so much I ordered an extra one! A must-visit for authentic New Mexican flavors. Highly recommend! 🙌❤️ #NewMexico #SantaFe #MexicanFood #FoodieHeaven #Enchiladas #SopapillaLove #ChristmasStyle #BlueCorn #LocalEats #SpicyAndSweet #ComfortFood #TravelEats #NoParkingNoProblem #FlavorBomb #MustTry
