Don’t arrive early, or you might end up like us: shivering in the cold while trying to enjoy frosty sashimi. 🥶🍣 This Japanese restaurant is located within the Ten Thousand Waves resort—you don’t need to be a hotel guest to dine here. Currently, New Mexico only allows outdoor dining, so Izanami set up a spacious tent equipped with heaters and fire pits, making it super cozy and warm inside. 🔥🏮 We started with karaage (fried chicken) and sashimi. The sashimi (tuna that day) was fresh but disappointingly small. The fried chicken, though, was golden, crispy, and utterly tempting! 🍗✨ For the main course, we ordered the bento box and lobster noodle soup.
