I wasnโt expecting much from New Mexican food before this trip โ but wow, was I surprised! ๐โจ Every meal was affordable, authentic, and incredibly tasty. Definitely the highlight of my journey! ๐ณ The Pantry A cozy Mexican brunch spot that won my heart! Stuffed Quesadilla: Perfectly crispy and filled with flavorful meat โ what a way to start the day! ๐ฏ๐ฅ Breakfast Burrito: Only around $10! Loaded with chorizo ๐ฅ, and I went with the โChristmasโ style (red + green chili ๐ถ๏ธ๐). So hearty and satisfying! French Toast: Soft, sweet, and slathered in jam with real fruit chunks ๐๐ โ not too heavy, just perfect! ๐ช๐ธ La Boca We originally wanted Geronimo (a top 5 U.S. fine dining spot ๐ฝ๏ธ), but ended up here for tapas โ and no regrets! While downtown felt quiet at 8 PM, La Boca was buzzing with energy and warmth ๐ฏ๏ธโค๏ธ. MEJILLONES: Mussels in a fragrant coconut-green sauce ๐ฅฅ๐ โ so fresh and aromatic! GAMBAS AL AJILLO: Garlic shrimp with a zesty kick ๐ค๐ง โ firm, juicy, and delicious. LAMB ALBONDIGAS: Crispy outside, tender inside ๐๐ โ full of flavor! TABLA MIXTA: A flavorful sampler platter ๐ง๐, and even the flan for dessert was silky and dreamy ๐ฎ๐ซ. ๐ฎ Adelitas Mexican Restaurant An authentic little gem where even the servers speak limited English โ thatโs how you know itโs real! ๐ Menudo: The tripe soup was a bit too strong for me ๐โโฆ but then came the TACOS! ๐ฎ๐ Tongue & Pork Stomach Tacos: LIFE-CHANGING! ๐ฒ๐ฅ Seriously, the best Iโve had โ even after trying tacos across Mexico. I kept ordering more! ๐ฃ Izanami Located inside Ten Thousand Waves Spa ๐ฏโจ๏ธ โ average food, but great atmosphere! Perfect after a soak. We had sashimi ๐, stone-grilled wagyu ๐ฅฉ๐ฅโฆ decent but not memorable. You come for the vibe, not the flavor! Santa Fe, you deliciously surprised me!
