These photos stem from his in-depth exploration of the remaining Atlantic Forest ruins in São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, and Rio de Janeiro 🌿. The exhibition aims to spotlight one of Brazil’s most threatened biomes, with each photograph being a unique, unprinted original. 🌳 The Forest’s Code Through the Lens: From Chaos to Poetry "Forests are hard to photograph," the artist admits. "They’re a massive visual chaos with infinite planes, packing an overwhelming amount of information. It’s easy to fall into mediocrity. To find the perfect composition, I often hiked kilometers and spent an entire day just to take one shot." He filters the natural "visual clutter" through his lens, making plant entities appear mysterious or even fantastical against blurred backgrounds ✨. 🎞️ When Reality Ebbs, Surreality Takes the Stage The blurred backgrounds in the photos contrast with the sharpness of plant subjects, as if pulling viewers into dreamlike scenes. "Natural landscapes disorient the gaze," the artist explains. "Highly magnified details not only hint at the unreality of the landscape but also transport us to a marvelous, even ghostly world."
