Sao Paulo 🇧🇷 Italian/Mediterranean cuisine | Beautiful business
🏠 Ráscal Conjunto Nacional 🗺️ Alameda Santos, 2152 - Cerqueira César, São Paulo - SP, 01418-102 Ráscal has quite a few chain stores in São Paulo. I’ve walked past them many times, but recently got to try it for the first time! Founded in 1994, the first outlet was in Shopping Iguatemi, São Paulo. From the information I found 🔎: "The brand was founded by couple Roberto Bielawski and Liane Ralston Bielawski, aiming to offer a modern buffet experience that fuses Mediterranean and Italian flavors, emphasizing fresh ingredients and live preparation." "As of 2024, Ráscal has multiple branches in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and released a cookbook Nossos Almoços de Família to commemorate its 30th anniversary. Co-authored by co-founder Liane and chef Nadia Pizzo, it features 62 classic recipes." The restaurant offers both a la carte and buffet options. We went for a la carte that day, and the staff recommended Ravióli Ráscal – the green pasta sheets under a heap of cheese in p10. I paired it with Filé-mignon (beef tenderloin), which tasted decent. The only downsides were the overwhelming amount of cheese and the slightly bland tenderloin. What stands out most is the ambiance – comfortable and inviting, blending modern and natural styles. It’s perfect for Paulista’s corporate crowd looking for a weekday lunch or for business banquets. Taste-wise, it’s above average for Chinese palates, but not mind-blowing. 💰 Average spend: over 220 BRL per person. #ExpatLife #GlobalFoodies #InnovativeFusionCuisine #RestaurantRecommendations
