Sao Paulo 🇧🇷 See the exhibition | Jose Pancetti: Navy and Painter
🏠 Farol Santander, 19th Floor 🗺️ R. João Brícola, 24 - Centro Histórico de São Paulo, São Paulo - SP, 01014-900 🎨 José Pancetti: A Naval Artist's Modernist Vision The 19th floor currently hosts an exhibition of José Pancetti (18 June 1902 – 10 February 1958), a Brazilian modernist painter and naval officer. Born to Tuscan immigrant parents in Campinas, his carpenter father moved the family to São Paulo when he was 10 for better work. A year later, Pancetti and a sister returned to Italy, raised by uncles and grandparents. 🖼️ A Serendipitous Discovery in Modernist Art Stumbling upon this small gallery during our building tour, we found a concise collection of Pancetti’s works—unified in style. Wikipedia notes his modern Spanish influence, with self-portraits, seascapes, and still lifes dominating the display. 🌊 The Showstopper: Interactive Tide Projection The highlight? An interactive projection simulating ocean tides. As visitors enter, the light casts rippling water across their bodies, turning them into part of the artwork. The effect is stunning—photos here are pure magic. 📅 Exhibition Details & Tickets Ends June 30th—catch it before it closes!
