Sao Paulo 🇧🇷 See the exhibition | Smart Light Light and Human Percep
🏠 Farol Santander, 22nd Floor 🗺️ R. João Brícola, 24 - Centro Histórico de São Paulo, São Paulo - SP, 01014-900 📆 February 2, 2024 – May 5, 2024 🕐 Tuesday–Sunday, 9 AM–8 PM 🎨 Smart Lights – Luzes Inteligentes Housed on the 22nd floor of the Farol Santander building, this exhibition plunges visitors into a dimly lit space where art meets illumination. Without context, the installations might seem understated—but their magic lies in the stories they tell. 🌌 ❤️ The Heartbeat Synchronizer My favorite piece? A paired-chair setup where two people sit facing each other, fingertips on a heart rate monitor. Above them, lights pulse to the rhythm of their heartbeats—plus, the chairs vibrate subtly with each other’s rhythms. "It’s a reminder that human emotion matters even in a tech-focused show," a staffer explained in English. 🫀 👁️ The Gazing Pupil Projection On another wall, a giant projected pupil stares back at you. Move, and its gaze follows—an eerie reminder of perception’s two-way street. Creepy? Maybe. Mesmerizing? Definitely. 👀 ✨ The Silver Foil "Carpet" Wait, there’s more! The lobby’s giant silver foil floor—crinkling like a cloud underfoot—was actually part of the exhibit. It reflected chandeliers, brightening the space, though my colleague griped: "Feels weird to walk on!" Who knew a lobby could be art? 🚪 💰 Admission & Tips 40 BRL for building access (includes the exhibit). Pro tip: Visit at dusk to see natural light blend with the installations—magic! 🌇 #ImmersiveExhibition #LightArt #ArtThatMovesYou
