Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

My earliest impression of Saskatchewan was when I applied for a Master's program at the University of Saskatchewan 🎓. But even after living in Canada for several years, I never had the chance to visit—until now! After dropping off a friend at Pearson Airport for their flight home, I decided to book a direct flight from Toronto to Saskatoon 🛫. While walking from my riverside hotel to Midtown Mall, I snapped this pic 📸. Also, can we talk about how malls across Canada (from south to north) basically have the same stores? 😅 The only perk? Saskatchewan’s sales tax is 2% lower than Ontario’s, so I grabbed some Lululemon to take back! 🛍️ Highlights of Saskatoon: 🏰 Delta Hotels Bessborough (The "Castle on the River") – A stunning riverside landmark! 🌆 Downtown – Compact but charming, with great cafes and shops. 🐄 University of Saskatchewan – As expected from an agri-heavy province, it has a dairy research facility, crop labs, and even an indoor botanical garden! Definitely worth exploring. 🌱 🏛️ Western Development Museum – A miniature historic town with interactive exhibits. You can step inside old-style buildings and feel like you’ve traveled back in time! ⏳ 🎨 Remai Modern Art Gallery – A must-visit for contemporary art lovers. 🐻 Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo – Great for families and animal enthusiasts. 🚤 Riverboat Cruises – Hop on a boat to enjoy scenic views along the South Saskatchewan River! 🌊 #Saskatoon #ExploreSaskatoon #PrairieProvinces #Saskatchewan #USask
