Saskatoon Hidden Gem | Little Grouse Italian Restaurant
As someone who frequently travels to SK for work (staying at the Delta almost monthly), I've exhausted Aroma Restaurant's menu (though it's quite good—more on that another time). This trip, I aimed for highly-rated La Cucina Ristorante, but without a reservation, I "settled" for its neighbor—Little Grouse. Spoiler: It was a delightful accident! Why It Shines 🍝 Wild Boar Ragu Pappardelle Tender braised boar wrapped around broad pasta, topped with crispy breadcrumbs and Grana Padano (less creamy than Parmesan but perfect for the rich ragu!). The sauce? Heavenly—tangy, meaty, and layered with umami. 🍮 Panna Cotta Silky like Greek yogurt, subtly sweet—ideal for cutting through the dish's richness. 💫 Vibes Feels like a true Italian home kitchen (with real silverware—a rarity in Canada outside luxury trains!). Staff are warm and knowledgeable (shoutout to the server who guided my order!). Final Thoughts A triumphant blind pick! Now I’m torn—next month, do I finally try La Cucina… or return here for round two? 😉 #BusinessTripEats #SaskatoonFoodie #ItalianComfort
