Sea Urchin and Toro Tuna Belly Donburi in NY--Kaizen

1️⃣ Clam Miso Soup 🫕 Red miso clam Delicious! In addition to the miso itself, there's a rich seafood flavor. After drinking it, you'll feel warm all over. 2️⃣ Tuna Tartare 🍣 Tuna tartare Order it! The tuna fish and avocado are a perfect match! Salty with a hint of sweetness, it melts in your mouth. I like to eat it stacked with wasabi-flavored seaweed rice crisps. 3️⃣ Sushi Hand Roll 🍣 A La Carte We both really liked the salmon roe and salmon (salmon ikura) hand roll, but I'm not sure if it was because I took too long to photograph it, the nori (seaweed) wasn't crispy anymore. Overall, the texture and freshness of the fish wasn't as good as at Domodomo. 4️⃣ Toro Uni Don 🍱 Caviar and Sea Urchin Toro Don You can't go wrong with a name like this!! Sweet and rich, it also has crispy rice added to enrich the texture, I particularly love it! The toro can be a bit rich if you eat too much, but it's just right for two people to share. 5️⃣ Mochi Brownie with Caramel Ice Cream 🍨 Mochowine We were already quite full when we got to this, but we didn't want to waste a single bite! It was my first time having a mochi-textured brownie, the caramel ice cream is full of creamy milk flavor, with a strong taste of butterscotch, and the combination of the two is not overly sweet. 6️⃣ Cocktails 🍹 We ordered the lycheetini and the non-alcoholic pink lily, the latter was tangy and sweet, very delicious! The bartender also let us taste the secret ingredient of the drink, peach schrub, which we really liked! 💛Kaizen 💰80-100per person 📍33-70 Farrington St, Queens, NY 11354 #Kaizen#New York#food diary
