SF | Bay Area's No. 1 Steakhouse, Truly Deserved 🔥

📍 House of Prime Rib This time during my visit to the Bay Area, I was fortunate enough to dine at the renowned House of Prime Rib, often described as the hardest steakhouse to book in the region. Contrary to online claims that reservations need to be made a month or even six months in advance, a friend managed to secure a table just over a week ahead. We booked for 9 p.m., but for prime dining times, earlier reservations are definitely recommended. The entire restaurant exudes the classic British steakhouse vibe. The menu is straightforward and no-nonsense—essentially steak plus sides, a relief for anyone with choice anxiety. Our group of five ordered three steaks (they are quite large! One portion is more than enough for two ladies to share). 🥩 House of Prime Rib Cut The quintessential thick-cut steak, a must-order at every table. 🥩 King Henry VIII Cut The thick-cut with a large bone. I personally think the meat on the bone is the best part! 🥩 English Cut Perfect for those who prefer a thinner cut. 🥗 Salad Complimentary before the meal, with a server performing a bit of a show. Even the salad feels like a ritual. 🧈 Sides Highly recommend the Butter Corn—it’s like a concentrated corn chowder. (Pro tip: Pair it with Yorkshire pudding for a crispy corn chowder experience.) The Baked Potato is also great, perfectly complemented by sour cream and bacon bits. The Mashed Potato and Cream Spinach were a bit more average. Overall experience: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Definitely worth the one-hour drive from San Jose! We went in starving and left completely stuffed. #SanFranciscoEats #BayAreaFood #SteakRecommendation
