SF Sotto Mare - The Best Cioppino in the Bay Area

I came here twice in the same week! 😍 Located in San Francisco’s Little Italy, this place has over 4,000 Google reviews and is definitely worth the hype. 📍 552 Green St, San Francisco, CA 94133, United States When I arrived at 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday, there was already a long line! After enjoying my meal, I immediately booked a table for Saturday. Must-Order Signature Dish! The Best Damn Crab Cioppino A huge pot filled with an abundance of seafood: crab 🦀, mussels, shrimp 🦐, squid 🦑, and clams. The tomato broth is incredibly fresh and pairs perfectly with bread. It’s so delicious that you just can’t stop eating! Linguine With Manila Clams The clam pasta 🍝 is loaded with clams, and the sauce clings to every strand of pasta. Each bite is incredibly satisfying, and dipping bread into the sauce is a must. (However, I felt the clams were a bit sandy and hadn’t been cleaned perfectly.) Risotto With Seafood Similar to the Cioppino, this dish is also packed with seafood. While the risotto is good, it’s not as impressive as the Cioppino. Fettuccine With Bay Scallops A must-order for cream sauce lovers! The sauce is incredibly rich and creamy, though the baby scallops were not as flavorful. 😂 For two people, ordering one pot of Cioppino is more than enough to feel full!
