Shinji's | New York's Hyped-Up Bar π
After finding Sip & Guzzle and The Up & Up completely packed, we decided to call Shinji's for a last-minute reservation. π π The mixologists create drinks right at your table, making it a highly performative experience. They use dry ice for chilling the glasses and interact with you throughout, making it feel like youβre watching a magic show. Each drink is unique and definitely worth trying! πΈ π Hot Cold Teddy Served in a small glass meant for a single gulp. The surprise is in the tasteβitβs half icy cold and half warm, a sweet liqueur with a fascinating blend of cold and hot sensations. Perfect as the first drink to start your night! π₯€ π Shinjiβs Gin Fizz The legendary yogurt drink. Itβs less sweet than you might imagine, not cloying at all, with a subtle yogurt flavor and a mild alcohol presence. πΆ Tropicana Ordered mainly for the cute containerβa large orange. This fruity drink has a more pronounced alcohol flavor. π π Handroll We ordered this because itβs from the back of Michelin-starred restaurant Noda. We originally ordered scallops, but the server accidentally brought salmon. Letβs just say the salmon version is tastier; the scallops had a slight fishy flavor, which is pretty standard for handrolls. π£ π’ Potato Chips Highly recommended! These chips are seasoned with Japanese-style spices and seem to be homemade. Theyβre a bit greasy and salty, but who can resist the joy of junk food! π π Rating: πππππ #NewYork #YogurtDrink #NewYorkStoreExploration ππ
