Shiraz 🇮🇷 | Comparison of 4 Popular Hostels

Shiraz has quite a few hostel options, and I checked out the most popular ones before booking. This time, I stayed at BB Hostel—originally chosen because I heard many Chinese travelers stayed there, making it easier to find ride-sharing buddies. But turns out, only me and a girl I met in Tehran were staying there 🤣. Meanwhile, everyone else seemed to be at another hostel! Below is a comparison of four well-known hostels near the Pink Mosque (Nasir al-Mulk Mosque): 🔺 BB Hostel Location: Close to the Pink Mosque & Shah Cheragh Shrine, near a walking street. Price: $5/night (no breakfast), $6 (with breakfast—simple, can skip). Vibe: Traditional Persian courtyard, many rooms, single beds (no bunk beds). Facilities: Kitchen available but dirty with limited utensils. Occasional water/power cuts, bad Wi-Fi. Staff: Front desk girl wasn’t very friendly. Few guests = harder to gather travel info or share rides. 🔺 Sohrab Traditional Hostel The new hotspot for Chinese travelers! Lively atmosphere, like Tehran’s Heritage Hostel—big courtyard, great for socializing. Price: $6/night (breakfast included). Book via Hostelworld or WhatsApp—often fully booked! Services: Currency exchange, ride-sharing, ticket booking, etc. Perks: Clean kitchen, free tea/coffee, and even sells Lao Gan Ma (chili sauce) 😆. 🔺 Taha Hostel Once a popular choice, located between Sohrab & BB, but seems quiet lately. 🔺 Seven Hostel Bookable on Hostelworld or their website, but €10/night—too pricey 💸. #Shiraz #IranTravel #HostelLife ✈️🌍
