Singapore Cuisine | Fruit Wood Smoked Charcoal Grilled Surprise Date Bistro π·
The treasure trove of restaurants on Ruqie Road is a hidden gem, with many cozy bistros that offer both a great atmosphere and delicious food. This one, Blue Smoke, specializes in fruit wood smoked charcoal grilling, giving a unique touch to both meats and vegetables through smoking and direct fire charcoal grilling. I invited some friends to give it a try, and it was a very pleasant surprise. Each dish was not as heavy as we had imagined, but instead incorporated Asian seasonings, making it a refreshing choice with rich layers of taste, perfect for a romantic date on Qixi Festival β¨. MISO SHIITAKE BUNS with butter π§, the soft and fragrant brioche buns were complemented by smoked mushrooms and special miso butter, a sweet and savory delight πβπ«. The next two dishes continued to awaken our taste buds: TAMARIND PRAWNS, large and elastic shrimp seasoned with tamarind sauce, a fresh combination of sweet and salty. SMOKED HONEY SRIRACHA ST. LOUIS RIBS, classic barbecued pork ribs, marinated with the tangy spiciness of Sriracha and the sweetness of honey π―, a joy to pick up and bite into, full of meaty flavor. The main course highlight π―: WOOD SMOKED BEEF BRISKET, slow-smoked beef brisket with fruit wood for 20 hours, using the point end cut with a perfect balance of fat and lean. A bite into it was tender and moist, with a sauce made from Malaysian-style rendang sauce, featuring a hint of peanut nuttiness. Served with tangy pickles on the side to cut through the richness, it's the best beef I've had recently π₯©. Accompanied by "DIRTY" RICE BASMATI, the fluffy and fragrant fried rice with meat juice and cilantro sauce offers a complex taste, an experience unlike any other! #AtmosphericRestaurant #SingaporeTravel #WhatToEatInSingapore #SingaporeFood #ExploreSingapore #MustEatInSingapore #QixiLimitedEditionRomanticDelicacies #HiddenGemRestaurant #SingaporeDate #SingaporeBistro
