Singapore is Perfect for Street Strolling! Nyonya Houses Are So Cute
I mainly visited Emerald Hill Road and Tanjong Pagar Road. 🎢🌟 Both areas are lined with beautiful Nanyang-style houses—one after another, they’re just stunning! 🌿 Emerald Hill Road is near Orchard Road, but it’s incredibly quiet (maybe because I went at noon?). 🌸🍃 The area isn’t very large, so you can easily walk around and then head back to Orchard Road. (But honestly, who would want to shop on Orchard Road? 😅) 🎢🌟 Tanjong Pagar Road feels a bit more commercial. Many of the shophouses have Korean and Japanese restaurants, and I heard there are quite a few Michelin-rated spots. It’s supposed to be bustling at night (though I went in the afternoon and it was pretty quiet). 🌸🍃 Finally, one thing I love about Singapore is that there are so many sidewalks! You can walk anywhere without worrying about running out of paths (unlike in Shenzhen, where roads are mostly for cars and there are tons of e-bikes 😢). There are plenty of traffic lights and bus stops, making it super convenient. 🌇🌿 It’s truly a pedestrian-friendly city (or should I say, country)! 🌟 #SingaporeTravel #DailyLifeInSingapore
