Singlish | Singaporean Bar in New York

🌙The visit to Singlish was super last-minute with friends. It just happened to be on my list of places I wanted to go, and we managed to get a reservation at a convenient time, so we picked this one. 🌊The decor is truly Southeast Asian. I couldn't help but share it with my Singaporean friends, and they said it was “a bit too much.” The bar is on the second floor. I really love the atmosphere—it feels like a safe and clean little corner. 😌 🥛We had quite a few drinks. The one that stuck out the most was the first one on the menu, a green rice wine served in a small bowl. It had a really unique taste, but I thought it was a bit too sour for my liking. My favorite was actually on the last page of the menu, which is actually from the bar on the first floor, called “Jelas.” Their drinks are all based on clarified milk punch, which is very special. I liked the drinks on this menu more than the ones on Singlish’s own menu. 🍸 💁There were two waiters that day, and one bartender. Both waiters were very Singaporean. We were pushing it and wanted a drink just before closing time. The waitress shook it for us. She has the same taste as me, haha! She also really likes the drinks from Jelas. 😄 #New York Bars #World’s 50 Best Bars 🌟
