Siracusa Must-Do List!

1️⃣ Recreate Monica Bellucci’s Iconic Scene 📍 Piazza del Duomo The square’s Baroque architecture is even more stunning at sunset—don’t forget your camera! 📸 2️⃣ Syracuse Cathedral (Only €2!) 📍 Cattedrale di Siracusa A mix of Byzantine + Baroque beauty, with stained glass depicting The Last Supper. 3️⃣ Boat Tour Around Ortigia (€15/1h) Hop on a boat from the bridge to Ortigia—sapphire waters, sea caves, and pink cliffs await! The captain gives bilingual commentary (though we were the only ones needing English 😆). Perfect length—any longer and seasickness kicks in! 🚤💙 4️⃣ Seafood Feast for Two (€35!) 📍 ALFEO (near Fonte Aretusa) Huge seafood platter + 2 drinks—crispy fried squid 🦑, juicy prawns, and a dreamy night view. Worth every penny! 5️⃣ Sicilian Arancino (Deep-Fried Rice Balls) 📍 Pizzeria da Mario / Forneria Siciliana Crispy outside, soft inside—like a Chinese sticky rice dumpling but better! 🥟 Pistachio flavor = must-try. (~€3-3.5 each) Bonus: Ortigia’s Mysterious Symbols Medusa heads 🐍 = Represents Sicily’s triangular shape. Moorish heads 🧔👩🦱 = From a tragic love legend. (Our Airbnb had Moorish head paintings—hopefully they don’t plant basil in my skull! 🌿😂) #SicilyTravel #Siracusa #FoodieFinds #ItalyOnABudget
