Sleepovers At The Intrepid Are Underway With A Halloween-Themed Event This October
The **Museum of Natural History** isn’t the only NYC attraction hosting overnight guests. “Operation Slumber” at The Intrepid Museum takes your typical sleepover and magnifies the experience with a night aboard an aircraft carrier — flight deck tours and all. It’s one of the best things to do with kids in NYC, and with good reason. If you’re looking for an atypical **Halloween**experience for your little ghosts and goblins this year, we know just where to send ’em. Sign up for “Operation Slumber” this October -------------------------------------------- On Saturday, October 4th, youngsters ages 5-17 are invited aboard for a spooky celebration and tour of the iconic museum. They will get into the festive spirit with a costume contest (but of course) and enjoy apple cider of the liquid and doughnut variety while assessing everyone’s getup. Once the holiday fun is crossed off the list, the kiddos have plenty more to tackle: flashlight-guided tours of the flight deck, simulator rides in the XD Experience, and activities in a brand-new game room, all before tucking in for the evening in the hangar deck. Attendees also have the opportunity to score museum merch and obtain a 60-day return pass to experience the Intrepid during daylight hours. To add an extra element to the fun, the museum is giving back: attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods for donation, and the top two groups will be recognized for their contributions. Sign your li’l sailor up for the fun on the **Intrepid website**, and have a look at this year’s additional sleepovers. Be sure to explore all of NYC’s **best museum and art galleries’ fall offerings**! 🚢 The Intrepid Pier 86 W 46th St 🗓️ Saturday, October 4th-October 5th ⏰ 6:15pm-8am 💸 $130 per person; $99 per person (group rate) Source: https://secretnyc.co/operation-slumber-intrepid-sleepovers-2025/
