Snowy Landscapes That Made Me Scream! ❄️

Before this trip, I thought: "It’s already winter during Thanksgiving—and last year I didn’t get to experience much natural beauty." So I decided to head to Denver to reconnect with nature 🌬️🏔️. And wow—was I blown away! From the moment I arrived, the views left me speechless. Driving through snow-covered roads, surrounded by misty frost-tipped trees, mirror-like frozen lakes, and majestic mountains… I felt like I was inside a postcard 📸❄️. Here’s my 5-day winter itinerary—perfect for your next trip! 1️⃣ DAY 1 We landed at noon and spent the afternoon exploring downtown Denver 🏙️. Highlights: Big Blue Bear 🐻 Colorado State Capitol with its golden dome 🏛️✨ Denver Art Museum 🎨 Several other museums nearby 🖼️ Not a ton to do, but great for a relaxed intro to the city! 2️⃣ DAY 2 We visited Red Rocks Amphitheatre—absolutely stunning! The natural rock formations are even more impressive in person 🤩🏜️. If you’re here around Christmas, check their website for holiday concerts! 🎄🎶 Then we drove toward Pikes Peak 🚗💨. Unfortunately, the cog railway was closed for Thanksgiving 😢. Instead, we attempted Crystal Creek Reservoir (don’t go—it was closed! 🚫). ✨ Pro tip: Book train rides in Georgetown or Pikes Peak in advance! 🚞🎟️ 3️⃣ DAY 3 Road trip to Steamboat Springs! 🚙⛰️ The 3-hour drive offered breathtaking views—but roads were icy ❄️⚠️. Drive carefully! We skied all day 🎿⛷️. As a beginner, I wiped out a lot 😅, but the slopes were incredible—long runs, powdery snow, and epic mountain views! 🏔️❤️ After skiing, we warmed up by the fire and enjoyed food at the base 🔥🍲. The resort closes at 4 PM—plan accordingly! You can also book horse riding 🐎❄️ or ice skating ⛸️ on their website. 4️⃣ DAY 4 We woke up slowly and drove toward Rocky Mountain National Park 🌲🏞️. We reached Kawuneeche Visitor Center—only open for 11 miles beyond due to snow ❄️🚧. Then we headed to Grand Lake and hiked to Adams Falls—so worth it! The frozen waterfall and snowy forest were magical 🌊❄️📸. 5️⃣ DAY 5 We drove back to Denver for our flight 🛫💨. Stopped at an outlet mall along the way—decent but limited brands 🛍️🤷♀️.
