🌍 Solo Parent Adventure: Madagascar with Kids @ Morondava

After an 18-hour bumpy ride, we finally arrived at what felt like The Little Prince’s B612 planet! Woke up naturally, teamed up with fellow travelers, and headed to the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs—only to realize later that you can just flag down any vehicle (even a rickshaw!) for a cheaper ride. 🌳 Must-Do Experiences 1️⃣ Avenue of the Baobabs Only 8 baobab species exist worldwide—7 are in Madagascar! The trees live by the local motto "Mora mora" (slowly, slowly)—just like island life. Free to visit, but sunset is pure magic (stay for the stars!). 2️⃣ Betania Fishing Village No electricity, no running water—just raw coastal beauty. Canoe ride 🛶 at 9 AM (breezy & perfect for kids). Fresh seafood alert! 🦞🦀🐟 Buy lobster, crab, or tuna right off the boats. 💰 Budget Breakdown Baobab taxi round-trip: 150K ARY (~¥235) (includes distant "Lovers' Tree") Betania boat: 30K ARY/boat (or hop on a local ferry for less) Island entry fee: 10K ARY/person 🏨 Where We Stayed Havana Hotel – 65K ARY/night (~¥100) Kid-friendly: Spacious, clean, and walkable to food spots. 👶 Why It Worked with Kids Baobabs = giant natural playground (running around encouraged!) Betania’s canoe ride was a gentle adventure (no waves, just calm waters). Slow pace = no stress. We napped in hammocks, ate fresh fruit, and lived on "Mora mora" time. #SoloParentTravel #MadagascarWithKids #BaobabMagic #SlowTravel
