Some Dishes Were Good, But Not Amazing 😐

As expected, the place was a bit noisy and crowded—no surprise, since it's known for great food. We started with she-crab soup, crab cakes, and oysters as appetizers. They were tasty, but nothing particularly memorable or special—and that was okay. 🦀🍲 For my main course, I had the grilled grouper with rice. It was fine, but there was no "wow" factor for me. My husband ordered the seafood à la Wando, a popular dish based on reviews, but again, it wasn’t anything extraordinary. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t order it, since my grouper was at least decent. 🐟🍚 Dessert was pleasant but not standout either. Given the reviews and price range, we had fairly high expectations. The service was okay—friendly but not impressive. Based on our experience that evening with the food, service, and pricing, I’d give it a 6/10 at most. There are still plenty of appealing dishes on the menu that I didn’t get to try.
