Sometimes, life just needs a good old grumble session at an izakaya.
A few days ago, I met up with friends at Imasa Nori Sushi Izakaya. The atmosphere was as great as always, warm and relaxing. As soon as we sat down, we started chatting about the stresses of work. In this dimly lit space with soft background music, even complaining felt lighter. πΆ The ingredients were so fresh, there's nothing more to say. Iβm a big fan of sashimi and unagi don, and they didn't disappoint at all! π£ Top 3 Recommendations: 1οΈβ£ Unagi Don: The fatty, tender eel on top of hot rice was just perfect. It was my favorite main course this time. #NewYork π 2οΈβ£ Sashimi Platter: The portions were generous, the variety was great, and the taste was very clean and fresh. It was so fresh that I could almost see the texture in the patterns. π£ 3οΈβ£ Fried Chicken: Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it was perfect for drinking. My friend said it was better than many places that specialize in fried chicken. π Although they have a visually stunning sushi platter that looks great for photos, in terms of taste, I personally prefer the more "substantial" options mentioned above. Overall, this place is perfect for friend gatherings and unwinding with a drink. It's not a noisy environment; instead, it feels like a space where you can "have a real talk." Next time I come, I definitely want to try their yakitori and sake! πΆ #MandyInNewYork π #NewYorkExploration π
