Sotto Mare in SF – Skip Fisherman’s Wharf & Head to Little Italy! 🦀🍝

🌟 Located in San Francisco’s Little Italy, Sotto Mare boasts top ratings on both Google and Yelp. We finally made a trip into the city and made sure to book a table here! ⏱️ Doors open at 11:30 AM — we arrived just after noon. Street parking took some patience, but it was worth it. The indoor seating was already packed, but there were tables outside and downstairs. (Note: They seat only once the whole party arrives.) 🦪 West Coast Oysters – $2 each, sweet and fresh, though on the smaller side. 🍛 Seafood Risotto – $30. Loaded with fresh seafood, the rice was soaked in rich, savory broth without being greasy. Irresistible spoonful after spoonful. 🦑 Calamari Sauté – $27 for a generous plate. We chose garlic olive oil over red sauce — perfectly cooked squid with carrots, green beans, and beets. Aromatic and satisfying. 🍲 Cioppino (Crab & Seafood Stew) – $55, their signature dish! Packed with crab (pre-cracked for easy eating), mussels, scallops, squid, shrimp, and macaroni. We ladled out bowls of broth, savored the seafood, dipped bread into the rich tomato base, and sipped the soup. Pure comfort on a gloomy day 😍. Marked for two, but with bread, it’s plenty for average appetites. 👍 A truly joyful meal! Four of us spent around $160 after tax (including beer and juice). Already recommended to all our seafood-loving friends. 📍 Sotto Mare 552 Green St, San Francisco, CA 94133 #SottoMareSF #LittleItalyEats #Cioppino #SeafoodRisotto #SanFranciscoFood #ItalianSeafood #BayAreaEats #WeekendFeast #HiddenGemSF #NoFishermansWharfNeeded
