South Africa | Sun City ~ South Africa’s Version of Las Vegas
Sun City is 190 kilometers from Johannesburg and ranks among the classic itineraries after landing in Joburg. In fact, it’s not a real city but an integrated resort combining entertainment, relaxation, and cultural experiences. There are four hotels in Sun City: 1️⃣ The Palace of the Lost City - 6⭐️ The most expensive and luxurious hotel in the resort. Its exterior resembles a castle, with towers, domes, walls, and columns adorned with African cultural elements. Unfortunately, only guests can enter for a visit. 2️⃣ The Cascades Hotel - 5⭐️ Named after its uniquely designed waterfall pool, it features modern decor. 3️⃣ Sun City Hotel and Casino (Soho) - 4⭐️ The oldest hotel in the resort. Guest rooms overlook the Gary Player Golf Course, offering beautiful views, though the overall facilities are slightly outdated. 4️⃣ The Cabanas Hotel - 3⭐️ Facilities/Entertainment Options 🏄 Artificial wave pool and water slides: Experience 2-meter-high waves and thrilling water slides—there are 5 slides with different slopes, 2 of which are even hidden in rock formations. The artificial beach area also has man-made bathing spots and sandy beaches, which are quite stunning. 🌉 Bridge of Time: A 100-meter-long pedestrian bridge. Every hour from 10:00 to 17:00, it simulates scenes of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. 🚶🏻 Lost City Maze: An elaborate maze crafted from artificial stones and wood. ⛳️ Golf: There are two courses—The Lost City Course and Gary Player Course. 🍽️ Restaurants: Numerous restaurants and bars to choose from, including Chinese cuisine, Western food, and fast food. 🛍️ Shopping mall 🧒🏻 Children’s amusement facilities The entire Sun City resort is large with well-rounded amenities, making it perfect for family vacations. It’s best to plan for 2 or more days here; if your schedule is tight, this itinerary isn’t recommended. #SouthAfricaTravel #LesserKnownTravelDestinations #SceneryOnTheJourney #WhereToGoOnHolidays #Vacation #YouNeedToSeeTheWorldToShapeYourWorldview
