๐ŸŒฟ Southeast Australia Trip (Day 3) โ€“ Albury: The Charming Border Town

Day 3 brought us to Albury, the last inland town in NSW before crossing into Victoria! ๐Ÿ“ Albury sits right on the NSW-VIC border, facing its twin city, Wodonga, across the Murray River. With just 40,000 residents, this sunny, low-rainfall town thrives thanks to its wetlands, lakes, and strategic location. ๐ŸŒŠ Must-Do in Albury 1. West Albury Wetlands A serene wetland park perfect for nature lovers. Walk along the trails ๐Ÿšถโ€”locals here are super friendly and will greet you with a smile! ๐Ÿ˜Š Spot waterbirds, ducks, pelicans, and cormorants hiding among the reeds. Follow the path to the Murray River for stunning water views. โฐ *Allow 2+ hours to fully explore.* 2. Hume Dam A massive hydroelectric dam where the Murray River meets Lake Hume. Though we missed the epic water release, the views of the mountains and lake were breathtaking! โ›ฐ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฆ Walk across the dam and read about its history and engineering. Fun fact: Itโ€™s one of Australiaโ€™s largest dams! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ #AlburyAdventures #NSWTravel #MurrayRiver #NatureWalks #AustraliaRoadTrip ๐ŸŒž
