Day 3 brought us to Albury, the last inland town in NSW before crossing into Victoria! π Albury sits right on the NSW-VIC border, facing its twin city, Wodonga, across the Murray River. With just 40,000 residents, this sunny, low-rainfall town thrives thanks to its wetlands, lakes, and strategic location. π Must-Do in Albury 1. West Albury Wetlands A serene wetland park perfect for nature lovers. Walk along the trails πΆβlocals here are super friendly and will greet you with a smile! π Spot waterbirds, ducks, pelicans, and cormorants hiding among the reeds. Follow the path to the Murray River for stunning water views. β° *Allow 2+ hours to fully explore.* 2. Hume Dam A massive hydroelectric dam where the Murray River meets Lake Hume. Though we missed the epic water release, the views of the mountains and lake were breathtaking! β°οΈπ¦ Walk across the dam and read about its history and engineering.
