Spent €12.8 for an hour-long boat ride in Taranto (not really 😆)
Just half a day out, and I already felt the warmth of Southern Italians—got asked about my stylish hat by a stranger on the street, then an old grandpa offered to take photos of me by the sea and showered me with compliments. The rumors are true! ☀️❤️ In the afternoon, my friend and I took a ferry to a tiny, unfamiliar island to enjoy the sea breeze. 🚢🌊 We stumbled upon a group of skinny but adorable cats, collected seashells on the shore, and I found myself lost in thought, gazing at the sparkling waves. Since our ferry left at 4 PM and returned by 6:45 PM (most tourists must’ve gone earlier), we unexpectedly had the whole boat almost to ourselves—like a private charter! ⛵😍 Right before docking on the return trip, I suddenly wandered alone deep into a secluded forest, where I found wildflowers stretching toward the sunlight. 🌼📸 I took a photo, then left content—without looking back at the crumbling shack behind me, as if shedding my old cautious self. Night fell, and after the sun had burned away my restlessness, the neighborhood chatter lingered outside my window. The fan still blew June’s sticky air… Time for sleep. 💤🌙 #ItalyTravel #SouthernItaly #Italy #StudyAbroadInItaly #SeasidePhotos
