Sri Lanka Hotel Notes
💒 Heritance Negombo We stayed one night in Negombo since we arrived late. The rooms are a bit old, but the hotel is right by the sea. Everything is just so-so.🐟 💒Jetwing Lake, Sigiriya One of my favorite hotels on this trip. The rooms are spacious and new, and the semi-outdoor restaurant is large with a huge variety of food. There’s also a long swimming pool in the hotel. Lying on a deck chair and looking out at the big lawn is super healing. 🐾🐾 🍌We happened to catch a company team-building event with a lakeside party that night, and the atmosphere was amazing. 🍩🍩 Golden Crown, Kandy Staying here in Kandy felt like a failure of the trip Maybe the only highlight is the small pool on the top floor. The key issue is that I got food poisoning here, and suffered from gastroenteritis for the next couple of days. Avoid this place!💓💓 🏢 The Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya The weather in Nuwara Eliya was really cold, and with my gastroenteritis, I didn’t have a great impression 😂. ⛅But this famous hotel definitely has full-on elegance. Thank goodness for the small fireplace in the room that saved me! Oh, and the singer in the restaurant at night even sang a Chinese song for us when he saw us—it was actually "Xiao Wei" (Little Wei), haha.🌈🌈 😊😊Wild Coast, Yala The Relais & Châteaux hotel I was most looking forward to. The all-inclusive experience was top-notch. The butler had WeChat and was always available when we needed him. When he heard I had a stomachache, he asked the bar to make a special "magic potion" for me. Unfortunately, due to my health, I couldn’t have the seaside candlelit dinner they specially prepared for us 💔. 👉👈I lay by the sea in the afternoon and saw some beautiful ladies—turns out, husbands around the world are all photography tools, huh. For the safari the next day, we shared a vehicle with a cute British brother and sister. The hotel has its own special access, so we didn’t have to queue. We were super lucky to see cheetahs and sloth bears that day!🍐🎼 💒Uga Chena Huts, Yala We switched to Uga the next day to experience more. It seems there are few Chinese guests here. We put up our little national flag, which felt very ceremonial. This one feels a bit wilder than Wild Coast, but still deserves a full 100 points 💯. Since we’d already been on safari, we chose to hike on the beach. 🥬 🌟🌟Coming back for a sunset cocktail was pure happiness 🥰. 🍰🍰Amangalla, Galle We stayed at Aman in Galle. It’s a pity we arrived too late to watch the sunset from the top-floor balcony. This Aman feels like it has more staff than guests—they went all out to make everything ceremonial, and were responsive to every request. 🍎 ✨They even arranged the breakfast specially for my photo, and made a little elephant figure with my sunglasses. The butler took us on a walking tour of Galle Fort, and we also tried the hotel’s ice bath, which was quite interesting.🦋 👍👍Grandbell Hotel, Colombo Said to be an internet-famous hotel, it’s relatively new and just so-so. 🌙 It works well as a transit hotel—the sea train is right outside the window.☕☕ #ResortHotel#SriLanka
