Sri Lanka is a total shopping paradise!
Shopping hotspots are in Colombo and Galle 👇🏽 1️⃣ Colombo Barefoot 📍: 704 Colombo 2️⃣ Colombo The Galle Cafe 📍: Paradise Road The Gallery Cafe 3️⃣ Colombo Paradise Road 📍: Paradise Road *P.S. It’s a store name, not a road! Once got lost with a tuk-tuk to a construction site. Scared to death❗️ 4️⃣ Galle Barefoot 📍: 41 Pedlar St (easy to find in the old town) 5️⃣ A fabric & home goods store in Galle’s old town (forgot the name 😅) 6️⃣ Galle Dunhinda Boutique Near Unawatuna Beach — a must-visit! Packed with unique wooden Buddha statues. Even had to queue to browse! 👗 My whole outfit (top + pants) was bought in Galle’s old town for just ¥200! Super comfy fabric. The pants are two pieces of cloth tied with a string. 🌟 Best experience: Galle Barefoot — most complete selection, could easily spend 2 hours here. Especially loved their bags and textiles! 🐘 Besides elephants, the little mice are a must-buy! Each has unique skirt/shoe colors. The cashier uncle saw me struggling and held them up for me to pick — soon three staff joined in. Five people seriously picking out a mouse 🤥 💸 Rough estimate: Everything pictured cost under ¥600! Even scored an adorable doll in Colombo Barefoot’s discount section (P8). ✈️ Survived an 8kg budget airline limit — all packed into a 32L Osprey backpack + fishing vest + neck pillow. Successfully brought back🥳 #OutdoorIsMySanctuary #SriLanka #SriLankaTravel #ColomboLayover #Colombo #Galle
