Sri lanka restruant--Ministry of crab

The legendary Sri Lankan Michelin-starred restaurant, Ministry of Crab, once made it to the list of Asia's Top 50 restaurants. Known for Sri Lanka's unique jumbo crabs. When you visit, you'll typically order 🦐 prawns, 🦀️ crab, and 🥑 avocado crab meat salad. We chose the popular flavors for the crab: pepper and garlic chill; and for the prawns: butter soy prawn. Personally, I found the taste to be just average. The butter made it particularly oily, and the flavors weren't particularly outstanding, but the prawns and crab were indeed very fresh with a Q-elastic texture. When ordering, you get to choose the size. When we went, there were only 1/2 kilo and small crabs left, so we picked the small one, which was enough for two people; for the prawns, we chose the 'omg' size, which indeed was huge, larger than a palm. #Ministry of crab#crab#food diary#Sri lanka#local food #colombo
