Sri Lanka Solo Travel guide
☕️ Highly recommend a café, which was once the studio of Sri Lanka's national treasure architect Bawa, transformed into a café☕️, featuring South Asian Chinese style, named The Gallery Café, also a restaurant. 🏬 The largest and most luxurious shopping mall in Colombo is located at the Shangri-La Hotel. The beach in front of the mall is stunning at sunset. 🏨 We stayed at the Colombo Radisson Hotel, which has an infinity pool on the rooftop offering panoramic views of Colombo and the Indian Ocean sunset🌄, incredibly beautiful. Across the road is the seaside train station🚉, about 500💰 per night, offering great value. 🌏 As for attractions, we just wandered around a bit. The Pink Mosque🕌 made me feel like I was in India. Actually, there's not much to do in Colombo. Trip tips: ⚠️ Dear friends, make sure to apply for your electronic visa online before heading to Sri Lanka, as airlines won't allow you to check in without it. This is extremely important‼️‼️‼️ ⚠️ Upon arrival, be sure to arrange for a pickup or hire a private car. The airport is quite far from Colombo, and there's no subway or similar convenience, making private transport a safer option. ⚠️ Do not bring foreign 🚬 into Sri Lanka. We were checked by the 👮 as soon as we arrived at the hotel. Even though we hadn't smoked, our bags were searched, and we were fined 15,000 LKR for having foreign 🚬. Be very careful⚠️ ⚠️ No matter how upscale your hotel is, always lock your luggage when you go out, as staff may go through your bags and take money. #SriLankaTravel #SriLankaTourism #SriLankanCuisin#Colombo#trip diary#travel guide#SriLanka#SriLanka guide#SriLanka life
