Sri Lanka World Natural Heritage - Sinharaja Forest Reserve
🩵Sinharaja Rainforest is the only surviving patch of primary tropical rainforest in Sri Lanka, a natural oxygen bar where over 60% of the trees are native species, and rare animals and plants can be found everywhere. For a rainforest hike, it's essential to take precautions, and leech socks are indispensable! 😁 🩷Today was particularly fortunate; under the guidance of a local guide, we spotted a, bamboo pit viper, wood spiders, ant nests growing on tree trunks, black-faced purple-faced langurs, red hornbills, and various colored butterflies, as well as Sri Lankan blue magpies. ✨We walked on the rugged paths, watching our step while looking up for bird sightings, and the constant possibility of unexpected surprises made today's rainforest trek filled with mystery and excitement! 🥳 #Sinharaja Forest Reserve#Natural Heritage#Sri lanka#trip dairy#travel guide
